For us here at 'School of the Word', our ethos really is that of a sense of a family hard at work and hard at play. The family-type environment and relationship is of utter importance and we really encourage as much ‘chill’ time as a group throughout the term simply because the study can very intensive both inside the classroom and outside. This is implemented by exciting trips throughout the term and we take at least one day a week to observe or apply what we have learnt in the book that week through discussions or workshops.
Another important note to remember is that, because we as a Training Centre focus strongly on character development, we encourage the students to allow God to do this in their lives not only through the Word but through relationship and close accountability with the leadership in the Training Centre and Jubilee Church. We have seen the students grow and change in so many ways and it is amazing to see that, if you submit yourself to sit under His word for a whole year, you cannot help but be changed from the inside out.
‘Sonship’ and ‘Fathering’ is a strong emphasis here at the Jubilee Training Centre and Jubilee Church and we have seen many come to a place of healing through His Word and this principle.
